Thai Basil

Glorious Thai Basil attracts hard-working pollinators.

Okra in the open field

Okra thrives in the hot, open field.

Fairy Tale Egpplant

Fairy Tale eggplant is a hybrid with outstanding taste, high productivity and one that requires little maintenance.

Burgundy Okra

Burgundy okra is beautiful in the garden. Harvest this variety while still quite small as it tends to get tough as it grows. Other varieties such as Clemson Spineless can stay tender a bit bigger.

Front Garden

We use every bit of our typical suburban yard. The front walk is lined with a hedge of rosemary that is over a decade old now. The scent is glorious as you walk up to the house and run your hand through the branches. An orange tree to the right of the house holds the promise of Christmas oranges in The Punkin's stocking.

Back yard herb beds

Raised beds are home to oregano, mexican mint marigold, basil, rosemary, sage, lemon balm, lavender and thyme. One of our four Meyer Lemon trees can be seen in the background.

Meyer Lemon Tree covered with blooms

Our second-oldest Meyer Lemon tree was covered with blooms this past spring.

Crops grown with friends

Our "back yard" has grown as we now share growing space with friends. We work two gardens, our original small suburban garden and now a friend's larger field, also in Pearland. We fondly call this "The Farm".
