A hand-painted pot can add a personal touch and artistic flair to the garden. This is a typical, Terra-cotta pot painted with acrylic paints.
I am currently exploring making my own milk paints for painting pots, so that I feel comfortable planting edibles in them.
The picture below shows a couple of pots painted with some hand-made pigments and powdered milk, but I’m not happy with the quality, it easily chips. I love the look but not the durability … yet. But what fun exploring the possibilities! Stay tuned for more on this artistic endeavor.
Marla,
I like the look of the milk paints too.
