Graham Thomas Rose

The Graham Thomas rose.

The Graham Thomas is an old rose with a beautiful, buttery color to it. It is has been described as being a “bright or vibrant” yellow, but I find ours is consistently a softer color, slightly darker than butter. It blooms dependably year-after-year and has popped out some new blooms now that our heat has broken and we’ve gotten some rain. A cool front is blowing into the Houston area, gracing us with cool air and soft winds. It reminds me of my days growing up in Iowa, which I hold very dear to my heart. Although these winds bring with them increased fire danger due to the extreme drought Texas is enduring, we are enjoying the soft, buttery breezes nonetheless.
